Boskelly
Conservation Project - Carbis Bay

A listed 1820’s Cottage with mundic extension, where permission was granted to demolish and rebuild the old library due to historic importance.

A 3 year project including the total renovation of the Boskelly premises. Due to the historic importance of the old library we had to replace the building like for like, using heritage processes and re-using various components of the original building for example windows and fireplaces.

The customers eye for detail and passion for arts and crafts lead to us to use lots of traditional methods and materials, ranging from intricate skirting and architrave details to casting lead spires to go on the roof.

The main goal of the project was to make it look as though it had always been there. Inside you’ll see a mixture of ultra modern right through to historic details.
